T O P I C R E V I E WRobert PearlmanSilent Thunder has begun offering SpaceShipTwo VSS Enterprise and WhiteKnightTwo VMS Eve models. cspgIDT Jets is releasing Virgin Galactic VSS Enterprise and VMS Eve 1:200 and 1:400 limited edition diecast models. cspgRevell has announced a 1/144 SpaceShipTwo and WhiteKnightTwo model kit for a February 2014 release. With quadruple engines, twin fuselages and a wingspan of over 140 feet (43m), White Knight Two is capable of carrying Space Ship Two to an altitude of 50,000 feet (15,000m). There, Space Ship Two separates, the rocket boosters kick in and the vessel reaches 361,000 ft (110,000m). For five minutes passengers are weightless before the engines cut and the vessel begins its unpowered glide back to the spaceport. Most of us can't afford the $250,000 price tag of a ticket, but we can keep the dream alive with this model. cspgFrom JC Wings:1:400 WhiteKnightTwo with SpaceShipTwo (Virgin Galactic) Wood display stand with metal looped upright included.Model include rubber tire landing gear.Approximately model wingspan: 5" inches / 12.7 cm 1:200 WhiteKnightTwo with SpaceShipTwo (Virgin Galactic) Wood display stand w/ metal looped upright included.Model include rubber tire landing gear.Approx model wingspan: 10" inches / 25.4 cm cspgSpotted those today: JC Wings 1:400 WhiteKnightTwo with SpaceShipTwo Virgin Galactic "New Livery" (VG4002) JC Wings 1:200 WhiteKnightTwo with SpaceShipTwo Virgin Galactic "New Livery" (VG2002)PeterOIt may just be because of the small photos, but the two "New Livery" models don't seem to have the polished bare metal finish on the feather booms.cspgI don't know. But it's a future release, yet the merchant has a picture. Was the model released a while back and is being re-issued (with the correct livery)? No idea. And not sure JC Wings has a website. Haven't checked thoroughly (not into this model, to say the least).PeterOThe Flying Mule has a 1/200 SpaceShipTwo in overall polished metal finish, matching the third SS2 that is under construction.
